Well done! Congrats on the new tractor! I think they were a bit over priced on some of those attachments but not by a lot.

When you get it home, check EVERY possible bolt and nut you can. When I got mine a few weeks ago, we started using it at the property and within 2 hours, we were making repairs. The bolts locking the FEL pins in place? Two were not tightened by the dealer so we lost two nuts and one bolt. I ended up stealing two bolts of the brand new trailer to put the tractor back in action. I let the dealer know and stopped in to get two new ones.

Outside of that mishap, the tractor has done 20 uneventful hours thus far. The range selector is starting to get easier to move but it is VERY stiff. My only complaint is there is no light telling you the emergency brake is set. I've started to drive off a couple times with the brake set! I'm going to remedy that with an LED light and a switch at the pedal.

Now, being in NH, I'd have thought you'd get something for snow removal!

Thanks. Yes I agree a couple attachments were a bit more than I thought they should be. That being said, I really didn't see the point in arguing over a couple hundred bucks. It was more important to me to get a fair deal, and establish a good relationship with the dealer. They are just down the road from me, (small town) and when it comes time for service I don't want to have them remember me as "that guy."

As far as the snow, I did consider a snowblower. However the previous owner of my new place moved to Florida. He left a massive commercial Ariens snowblower in the garage. I figured that will be more than enough for my driveway. I''m sure I'll still push some snow around with the bucket just cuz I can

It's been several months since your last post. Wondered if you would mind giving us an update. Would like to know if you would still choose the 2538 again? Any issues?

So far I have zero regrets on purchasing my 2538. It's quite amazing how practical it is to have a tractor.

I wonder how I ever got along without one now! I'm approaching 42hrs on mine and getting ready for the first big after purchase expense of the 50hr fluid & filters change. I would not hesitate to recommend the 2538 to anyone who is shopping in the 35-40hp market.

Attachments are somewhat addictive I must warn you. Since the original purchase I've acquired an EA grapple and landscape rake. And today.......Fedex is delivering a Titan Tree Puller

The tractor is basically awesome.

It can move big rocks out of your yard.

It can pull old fences out of the yard.

Sure makes drilling holes for a new fence a breeze.

Rips out old landscapes in a single swipe.

Owing a tractor will also make you the coolest guy on the block when it comes to outdoor parties. You can just show up with your double barrel smoker:thumbsup:
