I just bought a used 2555 hst with cab and loader. I'm posting this here vs. hydraulic forum because there are model specific aspects to the questions, so anyone with a cabbed 2555 hst (Maybe 2545 too?) please feel free to chime in. It currently has just the factory setup, no 3rd function or additional rear remotes (yet). I want to:
A. Add a third function for a grapple. I'd like it NOT to be mounted to the loader frame so I have the option to potentially use it on the rear. Does anyone have specific brand/ aftermarket kits that they have used and any mounting ideas that you've used?

B. I want to buy a rear 8' blade with hydraulic tilt, angle and offset. The cabbed 2555 only offers 2 rears as an option due to the way the cab sits. Is there a way to either add a 3rd remote, or do they make a rear remote that can be diverted so I can in essence set the blade the way I want it, albeit one function at a time? I would like to use the factory levers inside the cab ( why they offer 3 levers but only allow 2 remotes confused me a bit)

C. Would any additional coolers or filters be required with this amount of additional remotes?
Pictures of any of the above would be greatly appreciated if you've done any of the above to your tractor.

Thank you in advance

This could give you a third spool in the rear. Uses a toggle to switch between the 2 sets.

My tractor only has the factory capability of a single rear remote, I now have 4 sets.

The grey control grip has 3 separate switches for each of the 3 diverters.

My recommendation for you if you are going to be doing grading would be to get a top & tilt set and the triple diverter system. That will get you 5 rear remote sets, that should get most everything taken care of. I wouldn't be concerned about making multiple adjustments at the same time. Unless you are doing this for $$$ and one of the better operators that there are, you should only make singe function adjustments anyway.

In reality you only need 4 sets, no good reason IMO to have blade tilt when you have hitch tilt. ;)

Just my :2cents:

Thank you for that info! The original dealer that I was looking at a new unit told me I could only have 2, due to the cab glass. In their defense, Mahindra only listed 2 as an option on their website.

I had the Mahindra factory 3rd function installed. It works great. I highly recommend it. I have a grapple on my loader that I use daily in my tree business. I also have a snow plow that will use the 3rd function this winter for angling.
