Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I own a 2106, Mahindra 2555 HST. It has 238 hours and I'm the second owner. I have a few issues with the tractor and I want to get some help. First, the power steering control valve it leaking at the steering wheel shaft. I was told by Mahindra it can't be repaired, it must be replaced. The Dealer told me the same. Anyone have any experience with this issue? Second, the tractor died yesterday when I was clearing in the woods. I was out for about three hours, running a Woods brush cutter and pushing light brush. Without any indications, the engine shut down. It will turn over, but it won't fire. The dash shows the MIL light and CHECK ENG light. I looked all around the tractor for anything, but it was raining and getting dark, so I left it sit. I came home and read the manual. I'll check fuses today and play with it. It had fuel. I added 5 gallons before I began working. When I was checking the tractor out after it died, I put my hand on the loader cylinders. They were so hot, I couldn't hold my hand on them. Is that normal? I haven't used the tractor too much, so I'm new to some of it's quirks. Thanks for any help!

Just an up date on my issue. While clearing brush, a small stick or stalk poked the fuel hose from the tank to the fuel filter. It tore the hose and stopped the flow of fuel to the filter. The tractor just run out of fuel. I repaired the hose and attempted to bleed the fuel system. I wasn't sure how to do this. The manual didn't help much. I ended up calling the local dealer, 10 miles away, and he came out. The mechanic had it running in around 10 minutes or so. There is a primer pump on top of the fuel filter housing. He removed the bleed bolt (10mm head at the inlet of the housing), he pumped the primer until fuel flowed out the bleeder opening. He installed the bolt and pumped again. Then he tightened the bleeder bolt. I turned the starter/engine over about 20 seconds and it started. All the warning lights cleared and the tractor ran fine. The mechanic told me that the 2655 model has a different fuel system in the tank and if the same thing happened to that tractor, tearing the fuel hose, the fuel would continue to pump until the tank was empty. As far as the hot hydraulic loader cylinders, the mechanic said that was normal. I was running the brush cutter mower and using the loader quite often. He said that causes the heat in the system. He was sure there is a high temp cut out that would alarm or shut things down if the temps exceeded a certain point. So now, I don't run the brush cutter all the time, only when I need to.
