Buying Advice Mahindra 2555 or Kioti NX4510?

Thank you! Now looking to see what other "interior accessories" I can get for the tractor. 2nd cupholder, something for a cell phone, etc. What I REALLY wish it had (I'm sure a bigger tractor would have one) is a buddy seat, or at least room on the floor for one of the dogs!

I thought I read on here somewhere where the new tier 4 engines are all built by Mahindra in India?

The Mahindra EMax tractors are built by TYM. In Mahindra they use a Daedong engine and in the TYM model they use a Yanmar.

I have a TYM T503 which is = To Mahindra's 5010 and my TYM has the extendable lower lift arms and draft control which isn't on the Mahindra unit. Mahindra tells TYM what accessories they want or don't want on their tractors.

I think you will be very happy with your 2555. I know I have been very happy with my T503 and they are the same basic tractor.

This may be the case, I was told by my local Mahindra dealer that they were Daedong tractors, but maybe he meant the engines and not the whole machine. :confused3:

Hopefully a dealer that actually knows will confirm one way or the other. :scratchchin:

If I remember correctly, the TYM 503 has a Perkins diesel in it and the Mahindra 5010/6010 have a Daedong diesel in them. But that was back a couple of years ago when they were selling Interim Tier 4 (what most of us incorrectly call Tier 3). I don't know if the engine suppliers are still the same on the Tier 4 machines.

Just got an e-mail from Dave's tractor, thanks Dave:thumbsup: . Anyway, yes the eMax models are built by TYM. And this is now another first hand experience of you can not automatically believe that the dealers know what they are talking about.

Thank you, I didn't know this and it makes me rethink my leaning towards Mahindra. I'm not a big fan of buying a repainted tractor from one company when it's actually another brand. I would much prefer to buy the original brand. I'm not too concerned with where it's built as long as it's not China. The reputation for equipment from there isn't very encouraging.

i know this is an older post but here goes. I looked at a Massey 4707 Cab Yesterday, seemed like a nice tractor. "Made in China" , so no to Massey.

Not sure about the 4707’s, but the new Massey’s are built by Iseki in Japan. The loaders may be made in China though. Massey Ferguson is a trade name of AGCO corporation.

Agree with the previous poster. I like it when the name on the tractor is the name of the company that built it.

The I.D. tag on the 4707 tractor only says "Made in China" the dealer verified it.
