Ford 800 & Mahindra 2615
I have been visiting this site and finally got around to joining.
I used information I gathered from this site to choose a Mahindra 2615 used with under 200 hours, FEL and BH.
After over 20 years on a Ford 800, I found this little guy a joy to drive.

After a couple of hours, it started making a high pitch squeal when I pressed the clutch in I concluded it was a throw out and took it to the dealer. They split it and found one disk had a severely worn spline andthe other had rattling springs. They replaced the disks, throwout and pilot bearings, as well as installing a slug in the end of the crank to keep the shaft spline from walking forward. It was discovered the reason for the wear is a couple owners ago, the frame to engine bolts came loose and there was movement between the engine and tranny.

My question is it still makes the same squeal when I press the clutch pedal, but stops when I get it all the way down. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to TBN!
I moved your post to the Mihindra forums. You'll get a much better response here.

I do not know. I have a 2006 2615 with over 900 hours. Has the clutch ever been replaced?

As I said in the initial post above, the dealer replaced both clutch disks, throwout and pilot bearing, thanks.

I would have to take it back to the dealer and let them get it right

New T/O bearings with defects are not uncommon; they are often sealed-type and nearly impossible to inspect or pack before installation like on typical tapered roller bearings on wheel-hubs. 100% of the T/O bearings I have seen (to the best of my memory :D) have been sealed.

Sometimes they quit squeaking on their own; most of the time they do not.

X2 on taking it back to the dealer.

Just my $.02
