mahindra 2815 HST wont start

Mahindra 2815 starts fine was moving some stuff around, shut it off hopped back on a couple minutes later, then tried to crank and it wont crank, everything in neutral, pto off, wont crank, lights come on glow plugs come on, something is clicking, and i jumped starter with screw driver and it spins but wont engage, what could it be?

Sounds similar to mine last summer. Ran the tractor in the morning, parked it for lunch. Just clicks when I came back out to start it. No spin on starter. Measured the battery and it was 11.2 volts (should be 12.8). Put the boat battery in and it has been fine ever since. Best I can figure is one cell shorted inside the battery and it didn't have enough voltage.

Always start at the battery. Shiney clean connections and check your battery voltage under a load. Check battery voltage while hitting the key and see if your battery voltage changes. If it does not you may have a corroded battery cable

Double check your range selector to make sure its in neutral and PTO switch levers. Since it started and ran fine before and you got back on a few minutes later, it sounds like one of the levers got bumped.
