Mahindra 2816 FEL Jerky

My Mahindra 2816 HST now has 130 hours on it. It has been a great tractor except for one small issue. Ever since the day I first used it I have noticed that at normal operating speeds (1500rpm+) the fel is very jerky. I have tried to feather the jpystick, and any thing else I could think of. The only thing that seems to work is to reduce the rpms.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is this a problem? Does onyone have a solution?

You could put flow restrictors or needle valves on the valve work ports, and that will limit the flow, while keeping your tractor rpm up for transporting and other things.

Is your FEL valve GPM's matched to the hyd pump GPM's?

You are most likely to experience "jerky" movement if the hydraulic pump is starved for hydraulic fluid (that is, it is sucking air off and on). Jerky movement in the front end loader is usually the first thing you notice, but you may also notice some steering problems if you have hydraulic assisted steering.

Make sure your hydraulic fluid is filled to the proper level.

If you still have a problem, you may need to clean the hydraulic fluid strainer or replace the hydraulic filter. You say you have experienced this problem since the tractor was new, so there really shouldn't be a problem with the strainer or filter. However, I would recommend checking those if you can't find any other problem.

And of course, you could just ask your local dealer about the problem (if you have a local dealer).
