Both are nice machines. The 3215 has more power and capacity and a mid pto option. Both machines will not get all of their power to the ground, so pulling wise they should be similar. 3215 has more PTO hp. 2800 is a little more heavy/robust, especially in the front axle. 3215 has plastic hood and plastic fender flares, 2800 is all metal. I would say the Kubota probably has better backhoe specs and intergration. Both are similar machines, but the 3400/3215 may be a better comparison power wise. Although I think the new 2800's are 30hp now. Happy shopping.

Ok, I saw the 3215 HST today, and it looked more heavy/robust than the L2800/L3400. And like I thought, the loader on the 3215 looked more heavy/robust also. Seems like you own a L2800 so you probably think that is more heavy/robust (people are usually favor whatever brand they own), but specs don't lie. And IMO, the plastic vs metal argument doesn't hold much water these days. And BTW, I have never ever heard of a Kubota being more heavy/robust than a similar horsepower Mahindra. Mahindra is known for having the most heavy/robust tractors out there, and Kubota is known for having some the lightest tractors out there. Not to criticize Kubota, they are still considered to be very nice tractors.

Jeeez....thanks for the psychology lesson. Buy the Mahindra then. Your minds made up. I believe it was before you even looked at the 3215. You will love it....I'm sure it's a great machine.

Specs don't lie, and the l2800 weighs in a tad more, and has a larger front axle. I'm sure you noticed that. And really, when you're talking a 100lbs one way or the other, who cares?

Next time, don't ask for an opinion when you already know the answer.

Your right, specs don't lie. Fact - The 2800 weighs more than the 3215. I'm pretty sure the loader weighs about 200 lbs more as well. I know the front axle is bigger because I stretched a tape around both. That said, get what you want, both are nice as I said earlier. I'm happy with mine and I'm sure you would be happy with the Mahindra.

Well whatever, I decided to go with a John Deere 3320 anyways, and it weighs 300 pounds more than the Kubota :D So Deere ended up being the most heavy duty of the bunch.

The Deere 3320 is not an apples to apples comparison to a 2800. Compare the Deere 3320 to the Kubota Grand L3240.

I don't have the Deere tractor yet, and I haven't even decided which dealer I am going to get it from. But when I get it, I am not going to post pictures just to prove I have it

Anyways, I have to come to the conclusion that the additional cost of the Deere is definitely worth it. The Deere is more stout, heavier, IMO has better ergonomics, nicer ride, and the best resale value (not that I plan on ever selling it). And everyone knows Deere has the absolute best dealer network and parts availability.

I know Kubota and Mahindra make awesome tractors, but IMO Deere is in a class of it's own.
