The vid is sped up 240x.

Have not diagnosed it yet. My bet is a weak cylinder as it gets low and the sag slows down.

No external leaks the machine is 21 years old.

My next step is to diagnostically switch the hoses on the control valve to test whether it is the valve or a cylinder.

Not a hydraulics expert by a long shot, but with the bucket empty, and it sags, I would bet on a control valve seal leak, before a cylinder leak, only because 1 good cylinder would probably still hold up an empty bucket.

Just my 2¢

Definitely cylinder issue if it slows down once the rod get to a certain point.

I thought it was interesting that the loader dropped pretty fast at first then slowed down. I think that there may be two problems.

The control valve has 7 ports, 4 that go to the cylinders and two that go to the pump but there is another one. Perhaps it goes back to the unused rear port although there is a separate rear cylinder there.

One thing I hate is to throw money at something and replace a bunch of good parts with other good parts.

We use this tractor for wood harvesting and general farm use.

I reversed the hydraulic controls at the quick disconnects

Got basically the same results.

Bad cylinder(s)

Note that rear hydraulics are rock solid.

Does anyone have a source for the seals and o-rings. Have tried a couple of places.

A good hydraulic shop can match your current seals easily. You can probably buy seals for all 4 cylinders for the price of a single OEM seal kit.

thanks ptsg
Definitely plan on rebuilding, As far as I can tell that is all they need. Have rebuilt motorcycle shocks which were more complex.

I don't have any relationship to hydraulic supplier locally.

There is a mahindra dealer in moscow mills now and they have been good at getting me some parts , I have a 2810 and a 2538 and both have been good tractors , I have a farm in northeast mo as well.

Had to have my power steering cylinder resealed a few years ago on my 4110, couldn't find anything on seals/parts for it but my local hydraulic shop had the right size stuff in stock and it only cost me $60 parts & labor.
