The MMM does the job it is intended to do in excellent fashion. The main difficulty I see with it is that it only mows lawn. By that I mean, it doesn't mow roots, ditch banks, or swamps. These things will tear it up pretty easily. I always try to explain to folks that with the 16 series MMM it is sort of like a golf course mower. They should call it a mid mount lawnmower. I've had some customers who think it is the best attachment they own and some who think it is the worst. It all comes down to where they are attempting to mow. I learned to educate them and explain it is only for mowing smooth sections of lawn. It really leaves your grass looking beautiful. Nicer than most high end ZTM's even. Cost is a big factor with most folks too. When adding in the cost of the Mid PTO kit installation you are talking about a very pricey option. You could buy two decent 3PT finish mowers or even a flail mower for the price of a MMM. It comes down to how smooth your terrain is and how scared you are of banging into things when swinging that pull behind mower around. Hope this helps.
