Hello!
I've been creeping in the anonymous-reader land, but thought I'd actually join and post. About a year ago, I purchased a house with about 8 acres, acquired 3 horses and a brand new Mahindra 3616 HST w/ Cab. I have about 100 hours on it now, and I've been really enjoying it. So far I've had the pleasure of doing my 50 hour maintenance and replacing a glass door due to my wife backing out of our hay shelter with the door open
.
I've collected quite a few implements. I have the 72" mid mower deck, post hole digger, single bale spear, utility cart, 60" brush hog, pull behind sprayer, 72" snow plow, and a Millcreek manure spreader.
I'm now in the market to replace my old Craftsman mower with a somewhat reasonable price zero turn. I've been busy reading hours and hours on the forums learning about the transmissions, what to look out for, and researching what that translates into in terms of price on the market.
So far, I've been steered away from buying a Cub Cadet RZT L54 because of the EZT transmissions. Now, I'm scouring craigslist for good deals on lightly used mowers with serviceable transmissions. Looking to spend $3k, but I'm realizing I may need to go up to almost $4k to get something lightly used enough that will be capable and long-lasting on my property.
Also, I'm in the process of building a barn right now. 36x60x12. We're going to be using Wick Buildings to do the construction. Most of it will be for horses for the wife, but I'll get a nice 24x24 section of it for my tractors.
