Hello everyone. Looking for some help and input here. I am in the market for a compact tractor and have narrowed it down to the Massey 1532 and Mahindra 3616. Just looking for some feedback and opinions on what would be the best choice here. The pricing is the same for each tractor. I will be doing some loader work, grass cutting and 3 point work for plowing fields, etc... I like the idea of having more horsepower which would make me lean toward the Mahindra but the Massey seems to have a better finish. I am looking to add a 60" or 72" mower and a 3rd function valve with a grapple. Anyone out there own either that could offer some feedback? Any input would be appreciated.

Both are good tractors. I lean toward the Mahindra because I'm sold on the quality of the Mitsubishi built tractors. I am not sure about the exact weight of these units, but when it comes to most work, traction becomes an issue. Therefore, whatever you decide upon, you must fill the rear tires with some type of liquid. If you don't, you won't get the most from your tractor. Horse power without traction = diminished action.

Would lean towards the Massey.

+1

I only know two people with the other brand, they have been less then happy with the quality of them.

Weight is a good indicator, with a heavier tractor pulling better. Also how many pounds of lift on the 3PH and loader lifting capacity. Doing loader work, then a power reverser is good to have. How many speed transmission on each? Another question......................is a MF or Mahindra dealer close? Are they easy to talk to in person?
So you have a more powerful Mahindra for the same price of less hp in a MF? Ummmmmm. decisions, decisions.

If you have an LS dealer nearby you might look into a G3038, R3039 or XR3037 to compare with the Mahindra and Massey. I recently sold my 26HP Mahindra 2615HST and bought an LS XR3037HC. The G, R and XR models I mentioned are open platform while mine has a cab. G & R models have the Mitsubishi engine, XR has Shibaura engine. LS makes tractors for many companies.

Good advice. I heard they are good tractors with more bang for the buck then Mahindra's.
