Mahindra 4025 fuel tank cleaning.

For the past few weeks, I have been plagued with the screen in the tank stopping up. It has been suggested pressure washing the tank then washing it with clean fuel to get the water out. I sure don't want to remove the tank. Someone suggested cutting the fuel line and install a cheap throw away filter. Need this fixed before I pull the rest of my hair out. Mostly trash I bought the tractor with 250 hrs putting on 30 more. The last 4/5 hrs has been troublesome. Thinking of filling the tank with boiling water and dawn or something.

That seems like very low hours to have enough trash in it to give you that much trouble

14 yrs old and the guy I bought it from was less than prefect IMO

I'd be tempted to use vacuum to suck out the trash.
Some sort of inline container to hold the trash so as to protect the vacuum source.
Long claw/finger grabber device could grab any larger debris prior to vacuum.

I suspect your choices are to either pull the tank and flush it out or continue to fight it. I don't know where the tank is on that model but it is only a 14 gallon tank so it shouldn't be that difficult to pull it out and flush it good.

Just pulled it out and nothing to my eyes looks stopped up but i know if i cleaned it up the fuel would flow again. Would this alge everyone talks about create a film hard to see. I have seen that black junk at my friends shop Not mine

I can't help you on the algae, never had to deal with it and I haven't heard of anyone locally having to deal with it. Maybe due to temperatures in different areas. It was -26F yesterday morning but it warmed up to -21F this morning. I'm pretty sure it got the tomatoes, maybe it got the algae too.
