Mahindra 4035
This is my first time posting on this website so please forgive me if this question have already been asked.

I just purchased the Mahindra 4035 with the 485 backhoe attachment. I've removed the backhoe (which was really easy) and wanted to attach my brush hog to the three point hitch. When I attached the brush hog (old Ford brush hog) the "Lateral Stabilizer" arms rub agains the inside of my tires. I called the dealership and complained. The dealership advised me they contacted Mahindra and Mahindra's solution to the problem was to either not use the later stabilizer arms at all or to turn the pins on my attachment to the inside.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do?

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks,

Steve

Pins to the inside.

Ditto on the pins to the inside. This is pretty common, since there is no or not much of any standard for 3pt stuff. I have a JD 2240 with a cat 2 and my 5035 has a cat 1 [ don't know why, waiting for Mahindra to send me my free cat two extender ends ( :) ) ]. My Mahindra fits the spacing for all my equipment, which previously fit the 2240.. So, I would vote that your hog is the odd man out. If it was me, I swap the pins, which maybe should have been installed on the inside, or maybe were at some time. Keep the sway links... [ but, I am old and feeble minded... ]

I know on my 4035 the spacing between the tires and the stabilizers is VERY close on certain attachments (and all my attachments are labeled Mahindra). My tires were moved out to a wider stance (the middle setting) before I took delivery and before I ever tried hooking anything up to it. I would imagine it would rub in some instances with it set in at it's narrowest setting and I would need to make adjustments on my implements. Perhaps widening your tire stance would provide the clearance you're used to having.
