Mahindra 450
Hi! I'm new here. I actually found this forum from a Google search on a post from 2006. Does anyone know about these mahinda 450s? My question is about the hydraulic 3 point adjustment. It's spring loaded and the hinge doesn't move nor does the pin contact it. At this time I assume it is seized but I don't understand the set up. Any help is much appreciated!

Regardless of the seized hinge, does the three point operate at all? Does it not work and your thinking this may be part of the problem? I believe what you're asking about is related to top link sensing draft control.

Many of the early Mahindras were built on old IH patents and designs acquired back when IH was failing, or maybe even after that. I'm not sure. I know Mahindra built different models based on some of those tractors,

Here is a parts page from an IH 434 from around 1970. See if this doesn't look a lot like what you have. If so, you might search for a reprint manual on a 434 and see if that helps.

Harry in Ky just gave you valuable information.

In order to figure out a repair for my Mahindra 3525, I had to resort to looking for repair instructions for the International B 414. Might also find useful information from a site or youtube discussing the repair and restoration of similar International Harvester tractors.

Hey Harry,

That helps a ton! To answer your question the 3point works flawlessly. I just see that silver pin coming out of the hydraulic unit and didn't understand if it controlled the roll of an implement why I never see it contact at full travel. Could you elaborate on draft control? The pin pictured does move it just doesn't seem to touch the top link.
Oh one other thing. I can control that pin with a second lever on my hydraulic. You probably know that but may be important for me to note.

If I were you, and the lift works for you, I wouldn't worry about it. You can google draft control and learn more about it, but it really only applies to ground working equipment like plows, chisels, and subsoilers. Probably something you will never need or use.

Look for an operator's manual and it should tell you what is supposed to do what. Mahindra should have one from their on-line parts store for a price. The problem I see is there isn't a lot of discussion of Mahindra tractors on line. Most of the discussion is about the restoration of International tractors, but since Mahindra continued making tractors following the International B series 274-414 designs, you might even look at manuals for those tractors some of which are free.

My 3525 doesn't have the same assembly as your. So I have no idea what that is.
