Mahindra 4500...

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm sort of a newbie. What are you folks' impressions of the Mahindra 4500. Never thought about the Mahindras much until now...area dealer is offering some great incentives etc. The 4500 should do what I want with a 6-8' shredder, box blade, and maybe a dirt pan. Considering the loader in the package, but it's not a big deal. Anyways, what have you thought of the manufacturer backup and warranty? I'm guessing I better bone up on my metric tool inventory as well....? Thanks is advance.

Joe - Welcome to the Mahindra forum and as you peruse the site, there is a multitude of discussions going on about every Mahindra tractor available and problems that owners might be having. It will be worth your efforts to page through the site and focusing on the 4500 or doing a keyword search.

I've had my 4500 FWD for approximately a year now and it has about 100 hours on it. I bought it with a FEL and ag tires versus the industrial type only because of my specific needs. I have since added a Wood's 6' brush mower. quicktach FEL mounts for bucket and pallet forks and most recently a Wood's 9000 backhoe.

Happy with it? - you bet? Ecstatic in fact! Problems.....a defective fuel cap but my dealer quickly fixed the problem. Anything from a new car to a crescent wrench can have defects and it is up to you to prioritize how critical that defect is in your own mind. The main thing is to buy from a good, reputable dealer that will be there if you need him and when you need him. The Mahindra warranty is etched in granite and Mahindra will lean to honoring even a customer caused problem rather than ignore the customer.

My 4500 has been a valued asset in my case and has always handled any project with the greatest of ease. Good luck in your purchase my friend.
