Mahindra 7010 Loader

I have a Mahindra 7010 with a ML170 loader. The joystick for the curl up function recently became hard to operate and would not go back to the neutral position when released. The curl down function is not affected. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

If it is setup like my 4035/ML120, there are cables that run from the control lever to the actual valve. Those cables can rust, get dirty, get kinked, and probably a few other things I'm not listing to cause the behavior you're describing. Only real option is to dive into it and lay eyes on the components. Dirt and rust can both be overcome with some penetrating oil and working the control repeatedly (unless the cable inside ends up rusted through and you have no control at all, then it takes a replacement). A kink will require a replacement.

Double tap that. It's much easier with two people- one running the loader control and one under/right side of the machine looking at the cable/valve connection area. Make sure everything is clean and undamaged. Then add some cable lube to the cable and your choice on the pivot points.
The other end of the cables come out right at the base of the loader control. Because of the location and protection, problems on that end are less likely.

Just looked at Mahindra Parts Online and yes, your ML170 does have cables. Hopefully a little lube and action will get it smoothed out. It seems the cables come with the controller as a $400+ kit. The part number is KMW14083008...

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the advice. My tractor has a cab and not easy to get to the joystick area. I have looked at the area where it connects to the valve body and all appears ok. Which end should I place the lube ... Both? Parts sound pretty pricey. The web-link to parts did not work ..... can you re-send? Thanks!
