Mahindra Clutch Failure or problem with shuttle shift

Suddenly I find it difficult to select/deselect forward or reverse. A bit of granching that sort of thing. It is as if the clutch is not disengaging. It is a duel stage clutch and even depressing the clutch pedal fully does not make any difference. The pto can be engaged/disengaged with the clutch fully depressed as per normal. The tractor pulls away also as per normal at the same clutch bight point it seems.

Has the clutch failed or is there a selector problem?

I had to keep working the tractor today and the problem has worked itself out. Which makes me think it is a linkage issue and not the clutch. Something must have shifted (excuse the pun) in the gearbox which made it hard to shift. It is likely that the problem will reoccur.
