I don't see a Mahindra buying/pricing forum and the general buying/pricing forum is apparently for cross comparison, so hope this is an OK place to put this.

I reallly wanted to recommend a dealer I found AFTER I bought my Mahindra 2015 HST at another dealer 6 months before. They're Nutron Equipment Co. Inc. of Eliot, Maine (207-439-5272) and I can't say enough great things about them. They are reasonable, highly competent, very friendly people and were willing to deal with a warranty-covered issue with Mahindra (who are really reasonable when there is such an issue it seems to me) even though they didn't sell me the equipment originally (I wish they had!).

So here's a recommendation for them.

I've got close to 300 hrs now on the tractor (or rather my wife does!). It's a great machine.

I agree. I bought a 2015 with backhoe from them. They are excellent dealers. Too bad there aren't more businesses like them around here. I went to several dealers and the dealers selling orange and green didn't want to spend 5 minutes with you. There attitude is here is machine here is price. Nutron let me take machine home before I purchased it and price was right on with rest prices I see on here.

Glad to hear you found a good dealer. There are things you can still do to support him like buying your supplies from him. Most dealers also sell Stihl or Eco equipment, give him a shot at those too.

I appreciate you writing in about a decent, honest dealer. Although it is probably a 3hr. ride, it is good to know that they are there.

I think that some dealers need to smarten up some. They seem to have an "attitude" problem, that requires some adjustment.

I purchased a new tractor not long ago, and looked far and wide. Around here there are dealers who just do not want to "deal". Because of their attitude they lost my business.

MP where did you end up purchasing your Mahindra? I'm in Bangor (soon Clifton) and the closest dealer is in Fairfield (50miles).

Going call the guys in Eliot just to see what their prices are like. Wish they were just over the bridge...no sales tax over there /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks
John

Hammond Equipment in Auburn, Minot Avenue also is a Mahindra Dealer. He had a good selection earlier this year. He frequently advertises in Uncle Henry's, is also a Woods dealer.

Hi, Maine_Polack. Yes I'm new to tractoring and it's live and learn. I didn't realize when I bought the machine how important it was to have a good dealer who you can rely on. It's just as important as price, maybe more so in my opinion.

The Nutron guys send me the occasional part I need by UPS, which saves me a 50 mile drive (I am in Gloucester, Massachusetts, tucked away on Cape Ann north of Boston). It turns out they are my closest Mahindra dealer anyway.
