Mahindra KFM 72 finish mower

My local dealer gave me a price of about $2100. I found the same mower at another Mahindra dealer a few states away for $1550. I could understand a $200 difference but $650?

I need a 72" mower for a 2 acre residential lawn in south Mississippi but don't want to buy used as I am tired of fixing other people's problems. I want the 72" so it is wider than the rear wheels on my max28. Also I overlap my path when I mow so I only really get a 60" pass. My neighbors hate me as my lawn looks like a golf course.

I have a 60" cub cadet 23hp 2284 that I am ready to shoot. I think it may have just mowed its last lawn this weekend.

Get the cheap one in writing and ask the closer guy to match it. The closer guy may deal in less volume and not get as good of pricing and may not be able to match it. Hard to say but I'd make a drive for that kinda cash...

Who makes the KFM? It looks a lot like a LandPride to me...except I don't think the KFM 6ft is as heavy as my 6ft LP...also....how much will it take ($) to go "a couple of states) to have it? Also, be prepared to haul it "a couple of states" if something goes wrong with it...just sayin'....Good luck in your choice. BobG in VA

Most of Mahindra's implements are made by Kodiak, which as I understand was recently bought out by Paladin.

The KFM finish mowers are a very nice mower made by Maschio. The one for $1550.00 is probably old stock and the dealer is still taking a loss on it.

When I was looking at rear blades, my dealer offered me about 25% off to buy the new one he had. It had been sitting outside for a while and was faded badly, and had a couple of rust spots on some welds. Nothing wrong with it, just a little shabby looking.

Perhaps the dealer that quoted you the low price had the same reason to price it cheaper.

I purchased the 72" KFM/Maschio with my 3016 and I am very impressed with it. It may be a case of old stock verses new stock. Be sure they are quoting the same mower unit.
