I've had constant problems with the many safety switches on my 2016 Mahindra Max subcompact tractor. Lots of trips to the dealer for replacement and troubleshooting. In a fit of frustration, I decided to eliminate 2 safety switches I figured I didn't need in order to isolate the current new bad switch. One was the seat. I snipped the wires, trimmed off some of the rubber insulation and tied them together. Next was the Mid-PTO which I never use. I snipped the wires and tied them together. Still no success so I installed a remote starter switch directly into the starter bypassing ALL the safety devices. This was successful and I was thrilled to actually start my tractor by just pushing a button. No more safety switches to keep me from starting the tractor! (Yes I know they are there for a reason but they don't work.) Unfortunately, something is now draining my battery. So I put in a new battery and tried to start the tractor. The lights on the dash came on but then went dead. I think bypassing my Mid PTO is the problem. I can't figure out now how to put it back together without buying a whole new switch assembly. Is there a fix for this? I'm not a mechanic - just a hobby farmer little old lady. (I have a larger John Deere and a Kubota also and have never had a single problem with them at all.) Thanks for any advice.

I'm sure there's a fix for your issue buy you've not given much information. Did you cut the wires AT the safety switch or is there a bit of wire remaining to splice" Safety switches really come in two flavors. Some are closed to indicate a safe condition. These you can short and get away with it. Some are open to show a safe condition. These wires of course need to be left disconnected for the equipment to work. Not knowing the first thing about Mahindra (having seen one from a distance only once) I haven't the first clue how to help you. Perhaps I've given you some food for thought. By the way, you're probably not old yet, merely working at it.

I install battery cut off switches on all my equipment. It's the best way to keep the battery from getting drained. I think it helps keep my batteries running longer too.

Try pitting ammeter in between battery post and cable, then try removing fuses one at a time till "drain" goes away.... Chase the drain problem from what ever fuse is causing it...

You can do this right at each fuse and never pull a fuse. Set the amp meter to its most sensitive setting.
However if this problem only happened after you installed your bypassed switch and no fuses are ran off this ‘new’ switch, my opinion is you will not find a amp draw at your fuses.
My thoughts are that this new switch has a feed to ground probably through the switch mount. If you find it is through the new switch, make your mounting hole slightly larger (sorry I can not say exactly how much larger) split a piece of rubber tubing (gas line, old style washer fluid hose) and put it around the mounting hole as a grommet and reinstall the switch. A momentary switch should not need to be grounded.
