Well, we finally had some great weather and my wife let me play in the garage.
First I headed out and made a backhoe stand so I don't look like a lost construction worker while mowing the lawn! I used 4x4s lag bolted together with some $5 casters that I found on clearance at a dolly/caster supply store. Who knew there would be that kind of store?!? 500 lb rated. I used 2 swivel and two fixed so you're not able to push the main mass sideways. I thought it was best to not push a top heavy backhoe sideways. I need to pick up a few more lags for the edge 2x4s because with the controls angled up the unit can slide if you hit a crack. Let me tell you how I know. I almost had the thing slide off. That would have been bad. Anyway, here's a couple of shots.

Then a while back I found a thread on armrests for a Huscavarna that worked on our seats so I picked them up a few months back. Well I never really sized them up until yesterday. The previous poster had use self tapping screws and had to drill an additional hole. Well........ with the retractable seatbelt it's not that easy. The brackets round the sides tightly right where the other brackets go. I probably went a little trim happy but I was able to make them fit. The paint is drying but I'll try them out and if I like them I will fill in with a little more metal and make them look a little better. For now they are structurally sound and I could leave them that way. We'll see how much I like them. Not sure if I will cut off the top or the bracket or rod the two sides together. I'll have to see how stable they are.
