mahindra owners please tell me about your tractor

My 5525 has been reliable and trouble free (2WD, simple gear tranny 8F/2R, partially synchromeshed, power steering). It's a heavy tractor (over 6000 lb with the FEL and close to 7000 lb with loaded rear tires and the FEL). Made in India with a Mahindra designed diesel.

Got it with the skid steer quick attach on the FEL bucket--a good investment IMHO. Also came with dealer installed/dealer designed triple rear hydraulic remotes (a $700 option). Store it out of the sun--the red paint (like all red paint) will fade over time. Do the periodic maintenance per the operator manual and you should be good to go.

Happy with mine as well.

Has never hesitated with anything I've thrown at it. Lifting, moving, loading, cutting, carrying, dragging.... impresses me every time. A few traction issues in deeper snow, but I'm sure that's more operator error than anything else.

This is my first diesel tractor, so i have no benchmark to compare one diesel engine vs the other....

New 3510 and FEL in 03. Choose it over a JD and Kubota for price and features. Toughest tractor I have ever owned (I owned JD, Long, 2 fords, IH and Farmall)
Bought a new Backhoe this year and should have done it years ago. Never been to a shop except for BH install and 50 and 500 Hr service. Great machine and will last years if you don't abuse it and keep it serviced.

I have had my 5010 HST CAB unit for 2 years now about 450 hours on the clock. Other than a o-ring leak the first day no problems since then. The dealer had it fixed and back to me the next day. So far I am very happy with the Mahindra.

Long story short looking to buy a house soon. I have a Massey ferg. Diesel 25 HP the size of a 9n to get me by and do small chores. I want a 4wd, 40 HP fel tractor and was checking out kubotas but have now stubbled upon mahindra.

Please tell me if you are satisfied with your purchase. I am doing research and the financing and 5 year warranty really sticks out! Need a tractor for heavy jobs like moving snow, moving fire wood and of course FEL work lifting etc.

I see they are wet sleeved mishibisi engines that are very competitive when it comes to reliability and cold starting. Please tell me what you think after you purchased.

I have Mahindra 2816. It has been a real work horse. I use it in construction. I do not own a farm yet!! Have fel and back hoe. I put in septic lines,
clear property, run water lines, driveways, bushhog. Could not ask for more. It is the only tractor I have owned and I would buy another Mahindra if I
were looking for another tractor. Would be hard to beat. I have apx 100 hrs in about 1.5years. I hope you get as good use as I have with what ever
you buy. Let us know what you get and what you think.
