I bought new the Mahindra 1533 with other implements all good except after 7 months the Solenoid failed. We live in Florida near Gainesville the parts come from Texas.
This is the third week that I’m without the machine they had to take one off a new model.
I heard stories from other owners and actually met an owner who gave up his Mahindra dealership because he could get parts, now I’m on the list of people that loose work time because it would appear the parts system is not responsive to the needs of small farmers!
I council anyone contemplating buying any Mahindra Tractor think very carefully about after sales service if parts have to be ordered.
In this case the dealer is held hostage by very poor performance of Mahindra USA.

I don't think its a parts let down... we are in Texas and are at least three weeks out even with the parts in hand. Theres not a shop no matter the brand around us that is any further ahead I can assure you

Are you 100% sure your dealer is actually ordering the parts? My dealer for a different brand used to do this. He would tell me he placed the order and when it should arrive. I would go there a few days after that date and find out that he forgot to actually place the order from his wife. This happened several times, so I found other sources for parts and quite dealing with him.

Mahindra is listed as being in Huston Texas. Not sure if you heard but about 3 weeks ago Huston was hit with a hurricane that dumped more water in that area then they have seen in decades.

I don't know if the two are related but the timeline matches up.

Otherwise it sounds like you've talked yourself out of Mahindra. If that's the case, Hopefully you are able to move into a different brand as this type of thing tends to be self fulfilling prophecy.

Thankyou all for the posts I am sadly aware of the hurricane that struck we too lost power for 9 days and as you pointedly posted I have talk myself out of Mahindra hardly true given that the dealer in question was at the the Sunbelt Ag Show in Moultie Georgia last year, so no I’m talking to anybody including myself however after 3 weeks with no update or anything I’m hardly a raving fan of Mahindra.
Branson if I don’t loose to much on the trade is my next purchase.

Wow, one solenoid goes out and you are ready to trade it in. Seems like the dealer did you right by pulling one off a new machine. Maybe you should have contacted him before an entire 3 weeks went by.

If everyone switched brands over minor issues ... well, I guess a lot of folks do. And even a "good brand" (of which I consider Mahindra) can have parts procurement issues, especially if a part is being redesigned or re-sourced due to excessive failure. Me? Well, with what it costs to have a dealer pick up a tractor around here, I'll fix whatever I can myself, as well as take care of all maintenance.

This will be my last post on this matter.
After 3 weeks and MANY phone calls where no one took responsibility for ordering updating or what ever took place. Their attitude was at best non commital. It was my idea to use a new tractor part and they baulked at that idea at first!
So after multiple phone calls and frustrating time wasting and yes I made the decision not to go through this again, Having just returned from this years Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie Ga. The Souther Service Manager said that this was unacceptable and a costly mistake by the dealership.
