2014 Mahindra 3016HST
After much more deliberating and going back and forth to a Kioti and a Mahindra dealer, checking every aspect of both the CK27 HST and the Mahindra 3016 HST , and driving both, I've decided on the Mahindra 3016 with FEL and BH.

The 3016 is almost 2 feet shorter overall, it looks like the BH was made to be on it whereas the Kioti looks like it was an after thought and hangs out considerably off the backend. The BH also seems more ruggedly made/ heavier duty than the Kioti.

The bucket loader doesn't stick out so far as the Kioti. Both have the 60 inch quick connect bucket. The 3016 has a 50% higher FEL lift capacity.

I like the 2 pedal trans vs the kioti rocker, the engine seemed smoother and easier starting than the Kioti, the transmission was the smoothest and quietest of the two, (or of any I've ever driven), the hydraulics were smoother, quicker and more responsive, the joy stick seemed much more refined. The R4 tires seemed wider than the kioti, although I didn't actually measure them.

The bucket on the kioti is much deeper and more desirable in my estimation. :( It was the one thing that disappointed me on the 3016.

The 3016 is $1500 more than the CK27 but I think it is worth the small difference...at least to me.

Don't get me wrong, this is not a knock Kioti thread. The kioti appears to be a fine tractor, it has a lot of real nice features. Based on my needs/desires, the 3016 is just a better fit for me.

My brother has a Kioti and until today, I was leaning toward the CK27 based on my familiarity with his. He is very happy with it.

He came with me today, and examined both units closely, and drove them. I asked him if he was buying, which would he get.

He said he'd get the 3016. :D This from a Kioti owner!

Now if I can speed up the bank in releasing some of my own invested money for me........

I should have it in a couple of weeks.

Will report back then. It's going to be a long cuppla weeks.

I think you would be happy with either.

The ck27 will not come close to lifting what the 3016 can. 1650 lbs. is a lot in the 30HP. class.

I recently picked up a 3016 HST but was looking at the LS tractor line prior to buying a Mahindra. So far I'm very happy with the comfort and features of my 3016 and like you mentioned, it's a few feet shorter which means I can park it in my shop. The only design feature I'm still a little concerned about is, how the FEL lines are routed under the platform to reach the fender mounted controls. They really should have transitioned to hard steel lines to avoid getting hung up or abraded. I have some ideas on how to protect them but haven't done anything yet. Good luck
with your purchase.

that's something I didn't notice at the dealer. I'll have to review the situation when I finally get it.

thanks for the heads up.

Went today and finalized the sale. Dealer will be closed for vacation until after the 4th so I wait until then to get it.

:bawling:

I added a thumb and a 10inch bucket.

Got myself a Mahindra measuring stick and a nice baseball style cap. (no buyer's regrets here :) )

Go take the bucket off of the Kioti and swap it with the Mahindra no one will notice! . Just kidding.. Congratulations on your new machine. I am sure the waiting will be difficult.!

I thought of that ! They're both quick connect buckets, the swap would be easy.
