I liked (preferred?) the 3016, too. At some point some of us have to finally say, "this exceeds my budget". (No Mahindra dealers within 200 miles didn't help Mahindra's cause, either. Bought Kioti locally.)

$1,500 isn't all that much. But then I could spend just a little more and get the cabbed DK45SE, ad infinitum.

Sure liking my Kioti CK27 though. :)

I've got one dealer about 8 miles away, then the one I ordered from who is 13 miles away and another just over 25 miles away. I've been doing business with the company I bought it from for about 25 years, they've been in business for over 50, still run by the same family. I used to get Fergie parts from them. The old man that started the business sold Fergies and liked them so he went out of his way to help me get parts. At that time they were primarily a Deere dealer but said they couldn't keep up with the repairs, so dumped them and went to Mahindra a few years back.

I agree with you that there's a point where you just have to say "whoa" enough is enough when it comes to buying one and it's accessories.

I ordered the smaller BH bucket and the thumb with the tractor. I will add a RhinoHide canopy and a backblade, and bucket hooks, and clamp on forks when I get it. I'm considering a Piranha tooth bar, but I'm not sure how well that will work with the modification I want to make with the FEL bucket.

I mentioned the Kioti bucket is much deeper than the Mahindra and I want to make the bucket deeper. I can do it ok but I'm concerned about the fit of the Piranha after I mod the bucket..

It's ironic that Kioti puts a larger bucket on the 27, but the Mahindra has about 50% more lift capacity. Go figure.

I like the idea of a cab, but it would only be for winter snow use as during the rest of the year it would be in the way as I spend a lot of time in the woods.

I can see me adding some more hydraulics to both the front end and the rear sometime. A grapple would be nice.

I'm 68, retired and I've been telling my brother that I've really been looking forward to getting a new tractor for some time. It's been a dream of mine, I told him, everyone needs something to dream about.

Now he says, well, the tractor is on the way, now you've got nothing to look forward to anymore.

Well, Pilgrim, I wouldn't call 68 old these days! More like the new 48. Congratulations on your new tractor!

Couldnt you have just ordered it with the Kioti bucket or another that meets your requirements?
