Is there a Mahindra man, or women, out there that is interested in giving me some input regarding the 5005 and 6000 models. And the loaders that come with them. I am close to buying one, but I have a nervous feeling I can't get rid of. I have waited a long time to buy a tractor and don't what to make a big mistake. It seems that the Mahindra models may be one of the best buys out there. Any opinions?

Mahindra based in India has married up with a Korean line that is very good, but only certain models...

Which model are you looking at?

Thank you very much for your time. I am considering the 6000 model or the 5005 model with a loader. Again, thank you for your help.

Mr. Swinn,

I haven't forgot ya...

Just been a little buried with work...

But, if I could get you to raise your sights just a tad... like maybe an extra $1500 or so... you can get into a New Holland or John Deere Advantage 5105 series with independent PTO and lots more hydraulic horsepower...

It's that loader on your wish list that is putting the monkey-wrench in it... Yes you can do it with the Mahindra, but slower going and more awkward without some form of forward/reverse shuttle... Do you really want to do that for the next 20 or so years you'll have your tractor?

Now is not the time to compromise... remember whatever the decision... you'll have to live with it...

Give me a little more time to dig a little... meanwhile, around your local, kick some tires on Ford/New Holland, John Deere, and maybe Massey... look for a demo, or a fresh trade-in {someone else's buying mistake} for some of the key items I've mentioned...

Just one more thing...

Don't be bashful, when you walk on a blue, green, red or whatever other color lot... look the dealer in the eye, and tell him my limit is $17K... and I want this, this and this... I can buy from the dealer down the street... or I'll give you the money, because I'm already here... but I am gonna buy, and someone is getting this money...

Now... I have to go and make some money.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

swinn: i looked at kubota and john deere and compared them to a mahindra 350 for two months i bought the mahindra because of price and just comparing them the mahindra was much heavier built . Everyone told me to stay with the big three but i am very happy with the mahindra. the mahindra has more power, twice the lift compacity.compare the tractors not the colors.Zane`

I have been looking at the JD 5320 & the Kabota M6800 for a few months now. Had pretty much narrowed it down to one of these and decided I just had to spend the money to get the quality of one of these units. However, I just looked at a Mahindra 6000 and I am impressed so far. Would like to know what others think about this tractor and its features compared to the green and orange ones. From what I can tell, the price is going to be 8 to 9k less for a Mahindra with about the same functions. Sure, you don't get some of the kean features, but for 9k, I thing I could also get that backhoe I wanted. Looking for information about the Mahindra. Whats wrong with it? Please help.
