Hello all
I have a 2019 NX5510 and the main gear shift has gone wobbly. I was bush hogging some heavy brush (downed saplings).
I was using the shuttle shift lever mainly, but then happened to check the main gear shift lever. It had gone all wobbly and wouldn’t stay in any position.
Fortunately it appeared to be stuck in gear (second I think). The shuttle shift worked okay in all positions. I haven’t seen any fluid leaking. The range selector seems to be fine also.
I got back to the barn and tried to look things over. I pulled the gear shift boot off and looked through the hole.
It appears that the shift lever has become detached from the shift linkage. I could see the end of it moving freely. I didn’t see or feel any broken surfaces. I did feel a small spring hanging loose in there somewhere.
The bottom of the shifter seems to have a hole for a ball & socket type joint. Is it possible that this could have just popped loose from the linkage?
Thanks for any advice.
