I was sure I'd be able to find a multitude of posts on this but can't seem to find ANY. Just wondering if anyone knows of a/any decent programs or apps for keeping track of maintenence records? For tractors, particularly, but ideally other vehicles as well? Would be nice to be able to pull everything up on my phone or tablet and see what supplies I need, etc. Appreciate any suggestions!

I haven’t found anything decent I use the notes app on my iPhone that’s way it’s synced in the cloud across all my devices.

I must be old fashioned, I have a big chalkboard just inside the garage. Works for me. And notebooks. I couldn't believe Wal-Mart had back to school spiral notebooks for 10 cents recently.

Simple spreadsheet works fine for me.

My tractor Op manual has two pages of every maintenance issue and boxes to check and date each issue. It expands out to 3000 engine hours. Probably sufficient in my case - if not - its easy to make a cc with my printer.

A spreadsheet is ideal for a maintenance log...and most other records...
If the OP uses a Windows computer etc and have "office" use EXCEL... or Calc in open office...

The real beauty of the format is being able to export as a CSV (comma separated value) document...a CSV file can be imported into a relational database that makes things simple to search if amount of data is significant...

I use a combination of oosik's and \pine's. Use the table in the manual until it is full then make a spread sheet copy and continue. I keep a list of what I will need for the next scheduled maintenance on a page in my pocket notebook and add to it as things come up along the way. ( I think you could do this on your phone - I'd have to ask my wife :) ). Then anytime I go near the dealers in my travels ( 45 miles away ) I can stop in and get what I need for next time.

I have two good sized whiteboards in my garage shop to track all our vehicles (except the truck and her SUV) that I use to record what and when. I keep oil, air and fuel filters on hand so it's rare that I have to make a special trip into town for anything other than a broken part.

Yep, I write service and repairs of vehicles in the manual so that records are transferrable in case there is a another ("next") owner.
