Hey Guys, I just bought a Universal 640. It work really good. I dont have any problem with it. I'm just woundering what should i do to it regarding maintenance, because its been parked for a few years? Should i flush every fluids in it?....

I would change all the fluids. My dad bought a nice looking JD B a few years ago in the fall. When it got really cold it wouldn't move due to ice in the trans that had frozen. Got a few gallons of water out of that thing.

Yeah, flush out all fluids. You may need to do it twice after running it around a short time to get all the stuff up and out.

Check all the grease fittings. You may need to replace some. May need to repack the bearings. Definitely clean the air filter. Probably an oil bath unit. Check, adjust, repair the brakes.

If it's a diesel, chang the injector pump oil.. if it is a model with an oil sump, and not fuel lubed.. etc.

I'd say tighten all the bolts too.

The good thing about changing all the fluids and filters is that you know where you're at.
