Paint it with the same paint/color. Most any paint job looks ok if a guy masks it off. Dont paint belts hoses, any rubber aint sposed to be that color.

So you used the same paint and it held up good on the motor ?

I always thought tractor engine blocks were painted with the same paint as the rest of the tractor. Except for the exhaust, the engine parts don't get over about 200 deg F, which isn't that tough on paint. Just my thoughts, I never actually painted a block.

That is actually Imron Industrial. Its not quite as smooth as the truck/airplane grade but lotso cheaper and if a guy is fussy not too bad. But the crap from the JD is so so and seems some of it is unpredictable. The Imron is perfect. I bought some new plastic for the 2640 and it was flawless match, put a drop on and couldnt tell the difference.
