Major Failure

Has anyone had a problem with a TC33D New Holland breaking in half. Just had that problem while useing the front end loader. I was not moving so I was not hurt. Just want to know if this is an isolated problem.

Have you used a backhoe on your New Holland in the past and if so what type of mounting system did it use to attach to the tractor?

I've only heard of tractors breaking in half with 3pt backhoes.. Other than one fellow with a 2120 that had loose tranny bolts..

A friend that I work with had his TC29 break in half.

The castings had been machined to where the flange that bolts the half’s together was less than 1/4" thick. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

NH replaced the broken parts. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This happened about 2 years ago while using the loader. He never used a Backhoe with it.

So very sorry to hear. No, I've not heard of this except in some of the older NH and Ford tractors with three-point mounted backhoes.

Bought the tractor used. I am not aware of it ever having a Back Hoe.

I was moving a cedar tree. Dump on a brush pile and backed up. The bucket fell and the tractor bowed up in the middle. Broke right behind where the front end loader connects to the body of the tractor.
