Greetings from the PNW. I have a pond plus or minus an acre in size. It is a man made pond from the era of taking livestock to the water. It is fed by winter and spring run off and a spring.
The west band was compromised a few years ago by a combination of beaver and cottonwood.

Last summer I had a contractor put in a forty foot culvert from the county road to our area to access the pond with lowboy, etc.
This pond was set aside over twenty years with the blessings of Soils and Water, NRCS, etc.

I have engaged a different contractor to do this project, the orginal guy went MIA on me which was lame.

We are going to pump it dry as we can hope for baking and drying of the pond base floor, banks.
The shallow end has become much shallower over decades , ie from the fifties.... We are going to scrape out roughly a foot of sediment as the west bank is rebuilt.
I want to set the bulrush back a decade, and plan on using Rodeo or something similiar. Has any one had good experience with a one time application of such and what would you recommend for mix ratio? Thanks

I would suggest that you proceed very cautiously. It is quite likely that "agencies" will come forward with many concerns, rules & regulations. Best to learn of their concerns first and then decide on a course of action.

Point well taken..FYI... Two years ago when I decided to do this. I did contact ALL concerned agencies and was given their blessing. They appreciated my advance discussion instead of cowboying it, ie Gov't can't tell me what to do. What we will be doing is Repairing the bank, removing sediment, restoring pond to original specs and not " enlarging it".
