I did a search and didn't find any postings regarding this. There are auctions on ebay for teeth and shanks to make your own tooth bar for those that are handy with a welder. Shipping can get a little pricey as they are fairly heavy.
Here's the link. You can check his "other auctions" to see different styles. web page I'm going to check into it. Might be able to save a few bucks.

I thought long and hard about doing the same thing. I saw the adds on e-bay. I figured that I could save about $100 ordering the parts and building my own. But that didn't account for the time running around town trying to get the steel that I would need, the grinding and beveling the edge, and then with my luck ordering the wrong size teeth. I finally bit the bullet and ordered one from Carver, $315 including shipping for 60". I figured the 100 bucks saved me an awful lot of time and aggravation.

I bought teeth from the guy on ebay, and picked up a cutting edge from my dealer. Total amount invested in my 60" toothbar was 150.00. Sure makes a world of difference on digging with the FEL.

I had my 60" toothbar delivered to my door for just under $300 and still say it's the best money I've spent on my tractor. It only took one call to Mark Brucker at KC Canary (an advertiser here on TBN) at 800-920-7097 and I was done. This was before I knew how to weld but, honestly, for as heavy and well made as this thing is I'm pretty sure I'd have been hard pressed to duplicate it. To be fair, though, the idea of buying a cutting edge and welding on the teeth sounds like a reasonable compromise.

I bought teeth and the cutting edge to weld them to from Binkley and Hurst shipped to me for about $140. I then paid a friend $50 to weld them on and add attachement tabs. Totalled about $200 for a 48" one for my BX.

I saved about $100 and am very happy with it's performance. My teeth are FFC ones with the replaceable teeth as well.
