Well I got froggy and decided to make a new driveway to access a few acres that my wife would like to keep critters and a greenhouse for her flowers. I wanted ensure that my junk doesn't mix with her flowers. I have several "cars" some running and some that are not. To me what I have is a hobby; to her- it is junk. Anyway, I am using a relatively small tractor to create this drive for her. I don't think that it will be used for anything more than path for a garden tractor to tote her soil and such to her 'designated area'.

Well the tool I was piddling on is a Mahindra Max 28 (shuttle shift). The land was not too steep but still needed some massaging to get it somewhat level. I am sure glad I got a backhoe with this unit, the loader bucket has teeth and would hang on stumps/roots which would stop it in its tracks. I realize that what I am doing would take about 5min to do via a Doser but understand this was for fun and way cheaper than an equipment rental. So within a day I had a pretty good road started.

I was impressed that it was up to the task. It seemed to go without question and if was too much for the loader; the hoe would pick up the slack. My son came home from school and busted me up saying, "You need a bigger tractor" as I was digging to china to find the bottom of a root-ball. I told him, "you go get a shovel- and we will race". He promptly left for the house..... Hollered at him as he left and said, When you become a Millionaire you can get your dear old dad a bigger tractor.
I need to dress the road up and move a lot of fill before I finish the drive. Somehow it doesn't seem like work, life's worries melt away when on a tractor.
