looks to be more marketing and PR than anything of real function.Almost any design will give traction to a tire, deer hooves, cat paws, wiggly squiggles. Tread depth and composition have as much to do with it as anything.

I think the antlers would be a great addition to my ZTR. I'm tired of the real ones I duct taped on falling off.
