Mantis won't start- cylinder scored?

Jim, I guess I really don't know how old mine actually is. June will be 4 years since I bought it. It arrived here looking new at that time, but is a "factory direct fully refurbished Mantis 2-cycle", and it still has the 2 screws, so a screwdriver is all you need to adjust the carb.

For most of the 2 cycle equip sold in the past couple of years, the carbs appear to not be adjustable to prevent tampering and altering the factory emission settings, hence my earlier dissertation.
In your case, just open the "H" screw maybe 1/8 turn. Should improve cold performance and give it a little more power. Usually takes a couple of minor adjustments for optimum performance.
