I have just bought a used Jimna 284 and was wondering if there was a dealer on here that could sell me all the manuals that come with these tractors? I would especially like the one that has all the diagrams and part #'s I also need the plate that covers the spot were the backhoe pump bolts to the back of the tractor. thanks and any info would be helpful

There are a few dead links there in the Jinma maintenance info section, but the JM254(same as 284) parts and Y385 and TY290 engine parts manuals with all the exploded views and part number listing sheets are up and working(bottom of right hand column in the maintenance info section.

The basic hard copy owner/operator manual I received with my tractor is a pretty rough translation to english and I didn't find it particularly usefull. That manual is not available on John's site. With suggestions like draining the cooling system daily during cold weather operations(so it dosn't freeze at night) and refilling with clean creek water, you gotta wonder how applicable it is to our daily operations. Probably the most usefull thing in that manual is the factory reccomended maintenance schedule. All the other specification info is already available on many vendors websites. I seem to recall a site that had the operators manual posted also. I will look back thru my old links and see if I can find it.

I know what you mean. My Kama manual is similar. But it does not only apply to their manuals. Here is a safety sticker on my Kama. I get the point, though.

out of curiosity, birddog55, did you buy it from someone in Otisco?

someone there had a JM254 with koyker loader and chinese BH for sale that recently got bought - I had considered buying it.

NO I bought it on E-bay from a fella it is a 2004 jimna 284 with jimna loader and backhoe. the tractor only had 32 hours on it. I also got a trailer with the deal for 9000.00. I was wondering if anybody could tell if this was a good deal or not?
