soundguy i might try that soldering with map gas on a tank .i usually would just braze it.mapp would be a lot more portable.i think brazing would be stronger,but since i have never soldered on a stock tank what do you think?
i wouldn't even use mapp. All my stock tanks I've soldered I used the regular 'blue' tank propane plumbers torch. if it's a big hole I cut a patch out of roof tin.. or use a tin tab.
flux heat tin and go.
soldering is too easy... almost does it by itself while you watch...
