Do any of you guys add this stuff to your tank. My bx 2200 was just sounding a bit louder than normal to me. I first noticed it back in the fall, even my wife heard the noise. It just had a bit of a ping to it. I tried adding some power service , that seemed to help, but I still thought it was a tad loud. I asked my dealer and listened to a few machines run there, I then determined it was just me, all the bx's souned just like mine. I've been running good fuel-2 offroad from a good source so i don't think that was a issue. Anyway the last few fill ups I tried adding some of the marvel oil along with the power service, it is definatly quieter, hey a little extra lube never hurt. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gifAny simialr experiences out there? Comments welcome.

I use MMM in just about everything except my coffee. I add about 1/2 pint to my oil every change and that's tractors, cars, trucks and everything else with an ic engine. I also use it in my air tools and I use it as a spindle oil in my machine tools (own a machine shop). Besides, I like the smell. It's about the best stuff next to P.B.Blaster for removing the adhesive that bumper stickers leave on your bumper or paint for that matter.

any 2 cycle ashless oil will benefit a diesel engine. mmoil is just that. it lubes up the injection pump real nice and doesn't leave any ash in the engine. you can buy 2 cycle ashless oil a bit cheaper if you wish, but if the mmoil works for you go for it.

I use Amsoil in my snowmobiles and my weed wacker and chainsaw. At $32.00 per gallon for the Amsoil, MMoil is cheaper and smells better.

Everytime I read these stories about MMO I think back to when I proved to my father and several of my friends this stuff was more hoax than anything else. I sure wish I had come up with this idea though. My dad used this stuff in everything probably his coffee too. I never noticed one thing different. He swore by it and he was using this stuff at quite a clip. I grabbed two of his empty cans one day.

I filled one with with gasoline in it and the other with 5W oil. I added a little trans fluid to each for color and to disguise the smell. I added the one with oil to engine oil in all sorts of vehicles and the one with gasoline to gas tanks. Both cans had what was in them written right on the back. Everybody went on and on how well this stuff worked, better starting, more power, smoother idle, better mpg, reduced knock and on and on.

Finally I explained my little experiment to my father then my friends. My dad got a big laugh out of it. He took the two cans I had and experimented with his friends. To my knowledge he never used another can of MMO and everything worked just fine. Most of my friends eventually found it humorous as well. Who knows what they did.

Kinda neat when you call the vendor and ask them how this works they get to say its a secret and get away with it... what a deal!

This fits in the category with the concept of lubricating your water pump bearing using the using graphite or special lubricants in the antifreeze to do that. Think of the money these guys have made.

If you have to use soemthing like this use ATF instead its cheaper and does the same thing.

However, pepper works very well to stop radiator leaks, but thats another story.

Well I got to tell you this, Snap-on recommends MMoil for air tools because it doesn't gum up the air motors and it sure hasn't gummed up mine. I use it in my Bridgeport on the advice of the Bridgeport distributor here. It is pretty low viscosity and flows through the bearings quite well. I mix it equally with Harig way Oil for the mill and I also use it in my South Bend Lathe. I'd use straight Harig way oil, but it's about $65.00 per gallon. I also have a rag saturated with it and I wipe my precision tools with it to prevent rust. Besides, as I stated, it smells good. It probably really isn't worth a ****, but I'll still use it.

If you have a leaky radiator, try an egg white, or a little oatmeal. A slipping transmission will do real well on banana peels run through a blender. When the tranny gets hot, it smells good too. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

There is a difference in the regular old Marvel Mystery Oil and their air tool oil, although I sure can't say what except for color. I think all of the air tool oils claim to be "gum solvent" oils. I've used quite a number of brands over the years and don't have the technical knowledge to say that one is better than another, but I've used more of the Marvel Air Tool Oil than any other, because when I was repairing/rebuilding air tools, my brother carried it in quart cans on the Matco tool truck and I was using enough that I needed to buy it by the quart. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Bird:

You are obviously wiser than I am. Maybe the Snapon guy was just relating his own preference to me.
By the way, thanks for the info on the "lonestar", my wife enjoyed reading it. She wants to take a few weeks and come out there to "look" around.
