Ford 821,172cid,TSX813 carb. ruined the bowl trying to rebuild it. Want to use the tractor not restore it (backhoe & loader). Trouble finding a tsx813, used or rebuilt(cost). My question is if I find a, TSX with the same mount 2 11/16 cc, throat 1 5/16 Dia & air intake. Do you think I could get it to run my 172 cid. I would stay with a TSX for the rebuild kit. I know the 813 is a big bowl to give it enough fuel. Any suggestions welcome.

I've read that some Marval's can be replaced with a Zenith carb. Never tried though.

Tractor tech. I had a Chinese replacement that I never got to run right. I finally found a marvel replacement and it got it running about right. Still the float sticks from time to time but I can get by with it. It the only gas burner I have and the only one I have problems with.

You should be able to get that carb for less money. They are common to a bunch of different engines. I hate how the float level is adjusted by using shims under the main jet since there isn't a (good) way to adjust the float. Also the outside of those carbs is permanent-rusty so don't be afraid of rust on the outside. I just rebuilt one of those things last spring for a 4220 we bought, fixed and sold.
