Hello all, as with many I've been watching this forum for a while and have gleaned more advice and ideas than I ever would have expected. But since I'm sort of the passive, sit back and wait type I've never posted...
Now I'm in the hunt for a tiller for my YM 155D, 15 hp Yanmar. I've been looking for tillers in my neck of the woods (Bozeman, Montana) for over a year with no success so since my Dad lives in Portland Or. and travels this way to see his grandson regularly I expanded my search to Portland. Found a Maschio Model A 100, supposedly a 40" unit. Most of my research points at this being the perfect tiller for me, but the only problem is I can find no info on such a model on the net. I'm curious if anyone has experience with or knowledge about this tiller and knows it's weight. Also do you all feel that the 15 hp 155d would both lift it and run it. We have 3 acres, mostly clayey loam (mix of sand and clay) with potential for 3"+ river rocks thrown in here and there. We will be tilling large gardens (a few plots 20' by 100' or so) but in the end will place the gardens on the best soil, avoiding the rocks in the future but will likely run into them a bit as we learn the place.
Thanks in advance for any input, and thanks to everyone who has unknowingly helped me already!
