I was at my John Deere dealer and spotted a Tigre 300 flail mower. Ask my salesman about it and was told it was purchased for someone that backed out on the sale in 2017. The cutter has never been run and has never had a cylinder installed on it for the slide. It has a manual locking bar for the slide. He said they paid $7500 for it when they bought it and will sell it to me for $5000. Just curious if anyone has any price point info on these mowers to know if that's a good deal or not.

So I bought it. Just got it home, checked gearbox oil, greased and tried it out. It's a brand new cutter. Never been run before. Still has all of the paint on places it won't have shortly. It has everything except the slide cylinder. I'll have to source that which I haven't had any luck with yet. Probably have to just buy an aftermarket. The best I can tell they run from 12K to 13K.

If it was never sold would you have full warrant? You might contact them to see if they would send you a cylinder because it was missing. You never know.

Congratulations on a great buy!

When this unit was sold the hydraulics were optional. I've found the OEM cylinder. Pricey booger. I'm going to see if I can find one at Agri South.

A few more pics after I got the side shift cylinder fabbed up and mounted.

I have to get used to the noises it makes. It will chew up some material.

Ha, ha, ha - workinonit. I see you "leaped" before getting any responses on price. I just checked - current price - - $12,740. US$$

That's a fine looking unit.

Yea, I'm not much of one to wait around once I make up my mind I want something. I bought it for 2500 less than what they paid for it 5 years ago.

Maschio makes some of the best implements out there, but that comes with a price for sure.

I say you scored big time with this one even if it required you to buy the cylinder for the side shift.
