Massey 1230 radiator fan out of wack...

I was cleaning up at the house yesterday, loading trash into the FEL and bringing it to the burn pile and the tractor started making this little bumping noise. It was getting late and I couldnt get the sides of the hood off without removing the FEL so I looked down the raiator fill spot in the top and could see that the fan was not turning true. It was all out of ballance and the noise I was heating was the plastic fan hitting the plastic shroud everyonce in a while. Today I am going to take the FEL off and look into it further. Any ideas or suggestions. Its a 2wd Massey 1230, 25 hp.

Could be loose hardware or failed structural component. Start looking at the front of the tractor and work your way back to just behind where the engine backing plate bolts to the transmission housing.

Not sure how yours is setup.. but if it is a fan on the water pump.. then ya got a bearing going out.

Otherwise.. I'd say a loose hub / hardware..e tc.

Why is the water pump for a 1230 $321.00 and I see water pumps for all other modes for 40-150
the part number is 3710285m93 and I cant find anything about it on the internet

Compact parts are always more expensive than 1,2,4 and 500 series parts. Take it to a rebuilder to have it rebuilt or your dealer may rebuild them. Most dealers don't but they can send them off. That is by far the least expensive.
