I have a Massey Ferguson 135 (3 cylinder diesel) with a good engine (no smoke, easy start, plenty of power etc).
I have checked the thermostat and found it to be in good order (opens at around 70 degrees celcius) but the temperature gauge indicates a very slow warming up (as if the thermostat is fully open all the time). I have run the tractor for an hour and even then the temperature only just gets into the normal range. It seems there is another gallery open somewhere that allows the coolant to circulate and bypass the thermostat. Any suggestions?
My tractor also sounds to be missing when under no load. As soon as a load is applied (as in acceleration or climbing an incline she fires smoothly). The injectors have just been overhauled and the valve clearances reset. Any suggestions?
