Massey 1433 Shuttle Shift forward reverse not responsive

Hi All,
My MF 1433 with the shuttle control is giving me problems. I shift from forward to reverse or vice versa and it doesn't move. If I move the lever back and forth a few times it will eventually change the direction. However problem is getting worse as time goes on. Is this an electrical issue? Mechanical issue with lever? Clutch problem? Not enough oil?

I cannot be sure but it is probably similar to my MF2660 shuttle shift. That mechanism has a split pin that holds things together and mine broke or came loose one time years ago. The pin had come loose/dropped out. A washer fell on my foot at the time from under the console. Biggest problem was I could not get in to even look at it much less fix it. Those consoles are made like Alca Traz. Dealer fixed it.
