Hello, I have a MF 1440V with a MF 1466 Front End Loader. About a week ago I noticed a stead drip coming from the FEL control valve. It was coming from under the bonnet on the top spool. The valve is a Nimco 2S-40394 (attached picture). I pulled the valve off, and after found that the leak was most likely due to a bad gasket and O-Ring. I searched online for a replacement seal kit but couldn't find anything. I went to my local Massey dealer and they couldn't find anything on the Nimco valve so were going to call Massey themselves and see that they knew. But, I never heard back from them, so I went down to my local hydraulics shop and he said he'd never heard of Nimco and didn't really seem like he was interested in helping. So, I replaced the gasket and rings with what I thought were similar sized new rings and put everything back together.
After starting it up, I watched it for a bit, and there were no more leaks so I was pretty happy. However, afterwards, I couldn't move my bucket down, I could lift it but it wouldn't go down. I removed the bonnet on the spool to make sure there were no issues from when I put it back together and everything looked good. So, I tried again, and still no luck. In fact, I tried pushing down on the joystick a little too hard and ended up breaking the joystick (the plastick covering the rear stationary ball broke off).
So, at this point, I'm assuming the issue is the new o-rings I installed. And, given that I can't find a seal kit and now also need to purchase a new joystick, I'm wondering if I should just buy either a new valve and joystick combo and a new valve/joystick that all-in-one like the BRAND Model LV22RFSTKAB. Seems like a new all-in-one is the way to go, I'd have to fabricate a new mount but at list I'd eliminate the cables and just be done with it. Any thoughts on why this wouldn't work or suggestions on an alternate route I should take?
