Massey 1533
Hopefully someone can help? I have a Massey 1533 that has a fel and I also added a valve so I can use a small grappler. It all works great, but I sense it is not working as strong as it should. The rated pick up weight is 1200lb, but when I pick up a dry sand bucket. ( Bucket designed for tractor) I can only pick up a 3/4 of a bucket, not a full bucket. I am not familiar with the hydraulic system, so I don't know where to search to make sure the system is working at it's best. The tractor only has 130 hours on it, so it is new. I have not done any other maintenance to it except for the 50 hour. I do however keep it greased. Someone on another forum suggested valve might need to be turned up, not sure what he was talkng about, but he pointed me here.

Also, I have a box blade. Does having it in the up position effect the buckets ability to lift? I mean, does the effort to keep the box blade lifted negate the ability of the fel to lift?
Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

The pressure for your loader is set by the relief valve. It should be set to specs, which is about 50 to 100 psi below the pumps max pressure.

Install a hyd gage in a tee in at IN port.

Box blade has nothing to do with the pressure on the loader. In the up position, it should be locked in a locked state. The 3pt valve has it's own relief.
