Don't have an owners manual, was trying to remove the loader off the 1540. The loader came off fine, but I could not remover the hydraulic lines. I assume the collar slides back and you remove the hose. None of the collars would push back, and there is no pressure on the hoses. So bad couplers or am I doing something wrong??

Try and push in the opposite side while pulling back collar. the ball bearings may be hung up.

I pulled one off the tractor, there is no slid-able collar. if you push the back it will release, buy when mounted you cannot do that. I must be missing something very simple. I don't get how these work??

Are your hoses long enough that you can park the loader and back up a little before disconnecting them? On my tractor with the loader itself in the way it is a pain, back up a foot and I've got all the room I need to unhook the hoses.

Are your couplers the kind you just push in on the hose end and jerk them straight backwards out of the couplers?

I will have to try that, it might work. by pushing back I am pushing against the steel tube from the valve, there is some flex there

Pull the hose from the "back" side of the plate... meaning, get a firm grip on the hose from the "tractor" side of the plate, and pull it back, away from the plate. It will "open" the quick attach, and you then pull the "loader side" of the quick connect hose out from the plate.
When you reattach the loader, same process... Pull the hose, opening the quick attach coupler, and push in the loader quick-connect

On my 2015 MF 1736 the female connectors are mounted to a plate, the male ends are attached to the hoses. You just give the hose a quick tug straight back and it comes out of the female connector. My previous experience with quick connects was you always needed to slide a collar to disengage, not so with these. To re-connect you push the male connector into the female and they snap together.

ON the 1529, the hydraulic quick connects for the loader does not disconnect if you give them a quick tug. I had to push in on male side of the connection so that the inside of the female was pushed back. Once the internal piece of the female side was pushed back I had to hold it back with pliers or by inserting a flat screw drive in a groove while I pulled back on the male side of the connection to get it to separate.
