MASSEY 165 3 POINT WILL NOT LIFT A BIG BALE OFF THE GROUND. WHATS UP WITH THAT

3 point seems to work up and down fine, but will not lift a big bale. Stops about half way.

Install a hyd gage and see if the relief valve is relieving when lifting the load.

If it is, then you are at your limit.

You could check and see if the 3pt relief setting is correct.

Thanks for your quick response. Where do you install the hyd gage.? What is the correct setting, and if not correct can you change it, or should you just replace it??

I recommend installing at the IN port of the loader valve in a tee.

If you don't have a loader, somewhere after the pump.

You will have to look in your manual or call your dealer for the pressure.

The relief will be an adjustable nut or shims.

Your 3pt seals might be leaking some letting fluid byass.

Can you hear the relief squeal when you max out the 3pt cyl.
